Meghan Markle isn’t back on Instagram or social media yet, but that may be changing soon. A source told Us Weekly that Meghan is strategizing her next move—and having conversations with both fashion houses and documentary directors.
“[Prince] Harry and Meghan have been busy with Invictus Games recently, but Meghan is still planning her Hollywood reinvention,” the source said. “Meghan has a new team around her, and they’ve been strategizing about what mediums will have the most impact.”
Meghan wants her projects “to be rooted in giving back [and] philanthropy,” the source said, adding, “There isn’t anything locked in yet, but the most promising [thing] for everyone seems to be Meghan and Harry highlighting important issues through docuseries and bringing attention and fundraising.”
Hours after Us published its report, a rare new photo of Meghan was posted on Instagram. TV host Jen Su ran into her while out in Los Angeles and shared a selfie of the duchess with her and her friends. “Landed in LA and on our way to dinner, we ran into Meghan Markle,” Su wrote. “Totally low key and super friendly, nice conversation.”
Meghan will actually be in New York City next week. People reported yesterday that the couple’s organization Archewell is hosting its first in-person event on October 10, which Harry and Meghan will attend, titled “The Archewell Foundation Parents’ Summit: Mental Wellness in a Digital Age.”
The event will shed light on parents who are trying to ensure a safer online world for teens and children. Meghan and Harry will also participate in a conversation with U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, moderated by Carson Daly.
A spokesperson for the couple told the outlet, “The families have been engaged with The Archewell Foundation for the past year, bolstering community and driving towards solutions. Together, they are united in their mission to share personal experiences, data, and research to ensure the same does not happen to other families.”
