Sure, Winter is great. Snow is fun. But, inevitably, snow turns back to water…and that’s when early Spring outdoor fun can get messy. Have you ever thought, “Boy, I wish that there were some weather-proof shoes that were actually cute enough to wear with my springtime outfits”? Well, guess what? There are! And we’ve got 5 fabulous outfit ideas for rain boots (or “Wellies” as they are affectionately called in the UK) that will have you giving in to that little voice in your head that says, “Go ahead…jump in the puddles!”

• Spring green and Spring dress – These classic moss green rain boots would be the perfect accent to a short and flowy sundress and a cropped cardigan or short blazer. And remember, it’s Spring… so you can go bold with the dress, like a black and white stripe, and even add in a fresh and happy color with the cardigan or blazer, like bright pink!
• Rain boots and Bermuda shorts – For the ultimate in the chic, I-just-got-in-from-tending-my-gorgeous-garden, Hamptons-esque vibe, why not pair your Wellies with some preppy Bermuda shorts and a crisp long-sleeved button-up shirt? Just throw your lipstick, a compact umbrella, and your wallet into a leather cross-body bag, and you’re ready to weather any Spring shower in style!
• Pop of color – Nothing kicks an outfit up a notch like a pop of color, and there’s no pop of color quite like the pop of red! Think about adding a bright pair of red rain boots to a skater skirt, striped top, tights, and a classic camel-colored trench. Talk about classy and sassy!
• Pop of pattern – Create an unexpected bit of fun in your rainy day outfit by pairing wardrobe pieces in solid colors with Wellies in a bold pattern. The outfit colors can be boisterous and bright, or muted and neutral, but to ensure your own unique take on the “statement Welly,” make sure your pieces are solid with no pattern. Then just add some  Wellies with stripes, polka dots, or even springtime-y florals. Perfection!
