Spring runways were full of so many bright, beautiful, and breezy designs for 2016…thankfully leaving behind the albeit sumptuous warm wool and cashmere offerings from Winter 2015. And even though the outside temps might not necessarily reflect “Springtime” yet, these trends are signalling it’s a-comin,’ so we’re thinking you should add a few pieced to your wardrobe now, as a promise of things to come!

Peek-a-boo – The peek-a-boo trend was seen everywhere on the runways, and it manifested in not just sheer blouses like this, but mesh panels, as seen here, netting like this, strategic cut-outs like this and this, and even lace like this. Keep the peek-a-boo just a bit saucy by layering a nude-colored bra and nude cami underneath.

Tunic blouse – Tunic blouses offer tremendous versatility in your wardrobe, and are perfect for bridging the few weeks between the frigid temps of Winter and the first thaws of Spring. They work great for layering, or being worn long and loose over skinny jeans and tights. Tunics like this, this, and this will be ideal!

Sleeveless halter – Not only does this cut reveal those sexy shoulders (hello, Spring sunshine!), but it helps to flatter and create curves.  Halters can be trickier on those with larger busts though, depending on how little material is left at the top, and how tight the fit. Just remember, the top should not be responsible for holding up your “girls”…that’s what a good strapless bra is for. Keeping all that in mind, halters like this, this, and this are beautiful options for the season.

Bell sleeves – Bell sleeves can flatter the arms in the same way an A-line dress helps to flatter a silhouette. By nipping in and then flaring at or below the elbow, the sleeve gives the appearance of a thinner upper arm. Tops like this, this, this, and this are dazzling, dreamy, and trendy beyond belief for Spring.

Ruffle detail – Flirty and feminine ruffles were incorporated into so many pieces on the runways, from blouses like this and this, to dresses, even tank tops like this… and we think the touch of ruffles perfectly embodies all there is to love and embrace about Springtime. In fact, you and your closet should be embracing these gorgeous, girly trends right now!
