Easy Ways Look More Stylish Right Now

We hate to break it to you, but when you see a photo of your favorite celeb… even one that looks like it’s been snapped without them knowing, even one that makes them look like they are completely “bumming it”…that celeb (or their “creative team”) has probably spent hours on achieving that stylish, effortless look. Sure, it’s easy for them…they have millions of dollars, and a team of makeup and styling experts at their beck-and-call. But we have some quick and easy fixes that can make you look more stylish right now, without costing you a dime!

  • Don’t leave the house without at least one accessory – You don’t have to pile on the bracelets or necklaces. Just one noticeable piece will do. Don’t opt for sunglasses as your “one accessory,” since those will need to come off at some point. Instead, try a statement necklace or bracelet, or a really great pair of earrings (not all of the above…you’re going for classy, not trashy).
  • Think heels – Ditch those flats and go for heels. If your day involves a lot of walking to get from place to place, carry the heels in a stylish tote and switch them out with the flats when you get where you’re going. If you want all-day style and comfort, go for a pair of platform pumps.
  • Add one element of surprise – Perhaps it’s a scarf tied at your wrist, or an unexpected black leather biker jacket over a soft and feminine dress. Whatever it is, OWN IT. Be confident in your choice and you will be able to rock any unique addition to your outfit.
  • Play up your strengths – If you know you have great legs, opt for skirts or dresses. If you have well-toned arms, think sleeveless. If you know your derriere is fantastic, go for well-tailored trousers and pencil skirts. Have a well-toned tummy? Then a crop top is for you. The point is, if you like a certain part of your body and you know it’s showcased appropriately, you will shine.
  • Work your personal “uniform” – After you get to know what looks great on you, you can develop a type of “uniform” in your wardrobe. Except, unlike most uniforms, yours will be ever-evolving versions of you. If you love high-waisted skirts, or belted jackets, or slim fitting trousers, you can start filtering more of these items into your wardrobe. It will also make getting dressed in a rush much easier!

In the end, being “stylish” is really all about confidence. If you wear what you like, and what flatters your body, you will end up radiating that confidence for all to see.
