Fall is a season that many people experience in some form or another (even if it is only for a few hours a day), so it is also one of the most fashionable seasons. Even so, many wardrobes are woefully understocked for the season, leaving gaps that people cannot always fill.
If you are looking to build up a basic fall essentials closet, here are some things to consider:
A Cozy Jacket
There is nothing better than a great jacket. If you are careful and buy something that is high quality, you won’t ever have to worry about getting a new one. Just make sure you get something that is fairly basic and won’t go out of style anytime soon.
One thing that always seems to be in style is a great shearling material. It will keep you warm, make you look cozy, and stay in great shape.
A Classic Chunky Sweater
There is nothing better than a chunky sweater. When you wear it in early fall, it can serve as the only thing you need to wear. In the latter part of fall into winter, you can layer it either over something else or under a slightly oversized outfit.
They are perfect to add overtop a tight fitting dress or even just a good pair of jeans. This is one of those garments that will fluctuate and change however you like to use it, but it will never really go out of style.
A Beanie
Your mom probably told you that you lose most of your warmth through your head, and she was right. When you are looking for layering options and fall classics, few things look as good as a beanie.
A slouchy beanie fits heads of all sizes, hairstyles of all kinds, and will even cover up that bedhead when you want to stay under the covers for just a few more minutes.
A Great Pair of Warm Boots
We don’t always associate warmth with fashion, but many boots are doing away with that stereotype. If you are looking for a good pair of boots that will keep your feet warm and make your style that much better, look for something that marries function and fashion.
Combat boots and hiking boots are extremely in style this season, so that may be something to consider when looking to add boots to your wardrobe.
