It has been all over the red carpet this season, all over the catwalks, and it will only continue to grow in popularity: camel. Whatever you really want to call it: khaki, tan, beige, off-white, brown, sand, or camel, it is a great color that looks different but flatters every skin tone.
There are so many different ways to wear this trend – how will you wear it?
Camel Coat
Of course, the obvious place to start with camel is to have a fantastic camel coat. This is an item that will always be in style, so you want to have it in your wardrobe no matter what. When you wear it, you will be just a little fashionable.
Wear this overtop other camel colored clothing for a neutral and monochromatic look that is different and unique – or wear it overtop a jewel tone to really make it pop.
Khakis
Many of us avoid khakis because we had to wear them with our first job – khakis and a red shirt, khakis and a blue shirt – no matter which one you wore, you have probably avoided khakis.
But you shouldn’t anymore – khakis are a staple in any fashionista’s wardrobe if they are made properly. Look for khakis that have proper tailoring, fit a little tighter, and are made of quality materials.
Purse
A camel colored purse is another great investment. If you aren’t okay with wearing a lighter color, a lighter purse is usually a good place to start. When you have one that is made out of quality materials, you will be able to clean it regularly so that it always looks new.
You do want to ensure that you don’t put it on the floor, but it will be worth it when everyone stops and stares as you walk by.
Shoes
Camel colored heels will pull your entire look together. Just makes sure that you get them in a matte color, as they will look just a little more professional and put together. Of course, this means that you have to take the time to ensure that they are clean before you put them away. Remember that you want to protect your shoes from the elements, especially if you live in an area where you walk around a lot. There are plenty of sprays and powders that you can use.
