Spring may not be in the air just yet, but it’s certainly on the runways. And while the styles and price tags of those gorgeous runway accessories might be waaaay beyond our budget, there are lots of similar trends filtering down into the department stores…and we can fit at least a few of those little beauties into the budget for sure! Here’s some of the accessories that will be huge this coming Spring…

Tassel totes – Perfectly embodying the fun, playful, and colorfulness of Spring itself, trending totes will be decorated with loads of tassels and fringe. You can find them on large, casual bags like this and this, structured saddle bags, backpacks, and even clutches like this.

Chunky chain detail – Large, shining statement chains will be seen in so many items this Spring. You will see them on shoes, purses, and belts, but especially in jewelery. Look for gorgeous statement pieces like this and this, which will go a long way to dressing up even the simplest outfits.

Fishnet stockings – Spring is always an in-between time with temperatures. You usually won’t have to deal with the bitter cold of Winter, but it’s not quite the sweltering temps of Summer yet either. While full-blown tights might be too warm, the trend this year will be in fishnets. There are so many different styles (like these), colors (like nude!), textures (like these metallics), and sizes of netting (like this) that you’ll have no trouble incorporating them into all your favorite frocks.

Wrap/tied belts – Spring trends will see the classic and always-flattering skinny belt showcased in a bit more casual way. Look for thin belts that are designed to be either wrapped or tied, like this , this, and this…or belts that appear to be tied, like this.

Mirrored sunglasses – It’s been at least 35 years since mirrored sunglasses were en vogue, but this year’s ultra-cool versions will see mirrors with depth and color, instead of the cold, quicksilver mirror of years gone by. Mirrors will be found in classic styles, like the aviator and Ray-Ban styles like this, but also in cutting edge frames like this and these.

Statement earrings – This Spring calls for earrings that will wow! We’re talkin waterfall, chandelier, and tassel drop (hello…double trend there with the tassels!). The common denominator here is big, bold, bling…so big and bold that you won’t need to worry about other jewelry. Hence the reason they are called “statement” earrings. And honey, what a gorgeous statement you’ll be making this Spring indeed!
