Most of us have New Year’s Resolutions that we really struggle to keep, for whatever reason. However, the hardest resolution to keep for the highest number of people is the resolution to go to the gym more often. Just why is this resolution so hard to keep?
Well, most resolutions are set up so that we fail. However, when you feel better in how you look, you feel better in the rest of your life. Maybe that is why research shows that if you look good at the gym, you will actually go more often. So how can you achieve that? Here are some things to wear:
A Fitness Tracker
A good fitness tracker will help you to understand what you are doing, how many calories you are losing, and what actually works. There are so many different types of fitness trackers on the market, including those that are designed for fashion over function. Don’t buy into the hype. Instead, get something that really works.
Supportive Leggings
Good, supportive leggings will hold everything in place, no matter how strenuous your gym session gets. When you are jumping around, running, or lifting weights, it can be easy for things to shift. With compressive leggings that actually stay up, you don’t have to worry.
You may still want to do the squat test just to ensure that the leggings don’t go sheer whenever you bend over.
Good Sneakers
When you go to the gym, you need to wear sneakers that are a fit for the activity you are doing. There are running shoes, shoes for riding bikes, shoes for lifting, shoes for hiking, and so many more different types. Make sure you do match them to what you are doing, or you won’t be getting the most out of your workout.
Sneakers can make or break a gym session, which is why it is best to get a pair of sneakers that you know are high quality.
A Cute Top
When you have a top that is cute as well as functional, you are sure to make all of your goals. Like mentioned above, when you look better, you are more likely to go to the gym.
Just make sure that you aren’t putting fashion over function. You still need a top that will support you, hold you in, and won’t reveal too much when you jump around.
What is your fitness goal for this new year?
