It isn’t an exaggeration to say that bicycle shorts are a style that is everyone and that they are a style many of us “normal people” are afraid to try. Why? They just aren’t that flattering on people – or are they? One of the great things about bicycle shorts is that you can wear them in any way that feels comfortable to you. Even better, they have a little bit of a control top so that you will have some extra confidence.
Still afraid to try it? Here are a few options:
In Classic Black
The most classic look that you will see is the black bicycle short. They are easy to pair with just about anything – wear them super casually with a tank top or a t-shirt and still look great, pair them with a running top, or even with something more high sale.
Your basic black bicycle shorts will be your best friends when you want to try this style.
From A Name You Trust
One thing you should note is that a lot of companies are trying to get it on the style. This means that there are a ton of imitations. One thing you might want to consider is going with a name or a brand that you can trust. This will ensure that you are getting something truly great and not something that will fall apart after a few wears.
With Boots
When we first started seeing bicycle shorts on the runways, we saw them paired with boots. You want to be careful and make sure that you don’t make your pants look like regular old leggings or skinny jeans, however. Go for a boot shape that isn’t too tall or too wide. Stick to slimmer fitting boots.
Tighter, Thicker Materials
If you are worried about shorts that are too tight or too see-through, consider investing in bicycle shorts that aren’t made out of the typical material. Go for something that is thicker, like denim or cotton.
So don’t be afraid to try this style – you have nothing to hide or worry about! It might take some time for you to find the shapes or types that work for you the best.
