Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are about to add another member to their team. On Thursday, the couple, who married in 2012, announced the news at the premiere of Detective Pikachu, when Lively showed up in a yellow Retrofête dress that hugged her stomach.
A source told People that the two already have a lot to say about this new addition, and it’s all good:
“They are so happy and excited about having another baby,” the source said, before adding, “They really are the most in-love and in-tune couple, and very hands-on parents. They’d have a dozen kids if they could.”
The couple already have 2-year-old Inez and 4-year-old James, who is named after her grandfather, Reynolds’s father, died in 2015.
“In the spectrum of weird celebrity baby names, I feel like we’re not really breaking any new ground here,’ Reynolds said of his daughter’s name, shortly after her birth. “It’s not like Summer Squash Meadow Lark, or something. I also thought of all the letters being silent in her name, so it would be just be haaaa.'”
“Blake and I don’t do movies at the same time,” Reynolds told People recently. “If she is doing a movie in Thailand and I am doing a movie in Vancouver we would just never see each other. We operate as a unit, and that works really well for us. The kids stay with us, and the family stays together, and that is where home is. So if we are in Spain or Utah or New York, as long as we are together, we’re home.”
