How boring are black sunglasses? Sure they keep the sun out and keep your eyes safe, but they look the same as every other pair of sunglasses on the market today. Really, there is no sort of “personal style” that you can display when you only wear black sunglasses on a daily basis.
So how can you spice up your wardrobe? Try colored sunglasses! They are all over the runways this season, so they will be really easy to find and even better to experiment with.
Get With Gradients
Gradient sunglasses are always popular, but instead of going for the traditional black gradients, get ones with some color to add a pop to your current style. Gradients are also a fantastic way to work into the colored sunglasses trend – get a black ombre that goes into a different color. There are plenty of options in this style and they can even provide you with just a little bit more sun protection, which is always the most important.
Go Pastel
A pair of mint glasses, for example, will bring out the glow of your skin. This is also a great thing to add to your wardrobe because it makes your look a little more romantic and these glasses typically don’t feel as hot as black glasses.
Feel the Holo
Want all of the colors in your sunglasses? Adding some holographic sunglasses can help you bring it all together. These are also called “mirrored” sunglasses and will go with just about any look that you wear. These are for the boldest of us, but can be really cute when styled properly.
Brown is Best
If you are worried about breaking out of your shell, at least move away from black and move onto brown sunglasses. Brown sunglasses are great for any occasion – from looking your best for work to a casual brunch date. If you really want to stand out, you might want to pick a shape or style that is a little different.
Remember that sunglasses have one important job: keep your eyes safe. If you ruin your eyes, you cannot turn back from there. However, since most glasses are polarized and do a pretty good job of keeping your eyes safe, you can play around with the size, style, and color of your glasses with freedom.
