Kate Middleton began her afternoon with the Queen, Meghan Markle, and other royal family members at the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey. Tonight, Kate is on duty again, hosting a dinner gala for Place2Be at Buckingham Palace, in honor of the organization’s 25th anniversary.
The Duchess of Cambridge opted for a glitzy dress for the occasion, wearing a navy blue Jenny Packham gown with a beaded top with silver Jimmy Choo heels. Her hair was down, and she accessorized with dangle earrings.
Hours before, Kate wore a Catherine Walker dress coat with a red fascinator for Commonwealth Day service.
Kate’s two events today come after the Duchess of Cambridge spent three days last week in Ireland for her and Prince William’s royal tour of the country. The Duchess of Cambridge wore two evening looks in Dublin during her visit, opting for a green metallic dress by The Vampire Wife during her first night reception at Guinness Storehouse’s Gravity Bar.
On the second night, she wore a pink and black vintage Oscar de la Renta dress for a reception hosted by Irish Tanaiste Simon Coveney at the Museum of Literature Ireland:
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared a video highlight reel on their official Kensington Palace Instagram to commemorate the trip. “Some of our favourite moments from The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s visit to Ireland 🇮🇪🇬🇧,” their team captioned the video. “Thank you to everyone for the wonderfully warm Irish welcome! #RoyalVisitIreland.”
And Kensington Palace shared its own portrait of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge looking content on their trip. “Go raibh míle maith agaibh, a chairde go léir in Éirinn 🇮🇪🇬🇧 Thank you to all the wonderful people we met in Ireland!” the Palace captioned the post. “Swipe to see a sample of some of the lovely letters we received during #RoyalVisitIreland 📝 thank you to everyone that took the time to write to The Duke and Duchess.”
