A lot is up in the air for Olivia Jade.
USC hasn’t decided on her enrollment status, although she has decided she’s not going back there anyway. Her parents Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli could serve anywhere from four-plus years to 40 years behind bars, depending on how their trial in the college admissions cheating case goes. (The couple pleaded not guilty to their charges on Monday.) Her YouTube and Instagram brand have taken hits, and that may not even be the worst of it. Daily Mail is reporting that one of Loughlin’s daughters—so either Olivia or her sister Isabella—received a target letter from the college cheating case’s prosecutors, informing her that she is under criminal investigation. Olivia Jade allegedly had someone else fill out her USC application (her parents are accused of paying $500,000 to make it appear her and her sister had been rowing team recruits), so prosecutors could be examining that if she is indeed their investigation’s subject.
But Olivia Jade is not letting all that stop her from living her life.
TMZ obtained a photo of her last night at a party with a bunch of YouTube influencers at YouTuber David Dobrik’s Studio City house. The outlet was told that Olivia was having a good time there but being careful. She apparently asked the group to keep the party a “cell phone-free zone.” That didn’t happen, clearly.
Olivia has been taking steps to try to rebuild her brand. (Entertainment Tonight reported earlier this week that she’s “still mad” at her parents, by the way, but also “terrified” of testifying against them.)
Us Weekly reported in March that she’s been active on her Instagram. “Olivia is posting private Stories on her Instagram, using the only-close-friends option, to share her days on social media with her close circle,” a source told the outlet.
And People reported in April that Olivia “just wants to figure out how she can rebuild her brand,” per a source.
That source explained: “Olivia had her own life and business. She was always very driven and worked very hard to achieve what she had. This was her passion. She was honest about that she didn’t really care about school. But her business, she was always very serious about. She most certainly will find a way to start over again. She isn’t someone that gives up easily.”
