On Friday, Rihanna joined her friend Melissa Forde for dinner at Pergola in New York City and she wore the perfect going-out pantsless look for the evening. The ANTI singer was wearing a black minidress under an oversized tiger print coat that wrapped around her as she walked down the street, ending just above her knees and covering the dress completely.
On her feet, she wore pointed toe black heels with an anklet and matching silver earrings and necklaces. Her hair was up under a gold wrap and she wore a pair of wraparound black sunglasses. The Fenty beauty founder wore a dark red lip.
Rihanna and Forde have been friends for many years and the star was at Forde’s birthday party in April at The Nice Guy in Hollywood. In return, her friend celebrated her 36th birthday on Instagram, writing, “Happyyy Birthdayyy @badgalriri. From then till now in this lifetime and the next I’m riding for you right by your side through it all! But you already knew that!! Love you faeva evaaa. now back to the bday shenanigans cuz we celebrating till March 20th.”
Rihanna recently celebrated a huge accomplishment when she was named the top solo female artist with the most diamond-certified hits from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). She shared her achievement on Instagram on Friday, May 31.
She wrote over a shot of the news, “Ain’t no back n forth.”
The diamond plaque was attributed to her and Jay-Z’s 2007 hit “Umbrella” and her 2016 song with Drake, titled “Work.”
ANTI’s “Need Me” also reached diamond status and Unapologetic’s “Stay.”
Fans have wanted new music from the star for a very long time, and while talking to Interview Magazine in April, she hinted at more specifics for an upcoming album.
“I have a lot of visual ideas. It’s weird. My brain is working backward right now,” she said. “I usually have the music first, and the music leads me into all of these visual opportunities, and now I’m having all of these visuals, and I don’t have the songs for them yet, but maybe that’s the key, this time…Maybe the visual ideas are leading me to the songs that I need to make.”
