The very first look at Strangers Things season 3 is finally here. The first full-length trailer from Netflix depicts summer of 1985. The kids are growing up and adjusting to their status as teenagers. A mall has opened, a fair is in town, and there’s a giant mutated Demogorgon to pique your interest on the dangers ahead for the group.
The trailer does exactly what it’s suppose to do: raise questions. Why did Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) have to use her powers and fight in the mall?
What trouble is Billy (Dacre Montgomery) going to cause as a life guard?
Who is Hopper (David Harbour) waiting for at dinner? And what exactly is his and Joyce’s (Winona Ryder) relationship status?
Where are Nancy (Natalia Dyer) and Jonathan (Charlie Heaton) waiting, looking sullen and all dressed up?
And why are Eleven and Max (Sadie Sink) in this absurdly ’80s glam photo booth? It seems like something neither of them would be interested in.
All of those will answered on July 4, when the series hits Netflix in full. For now, enjoy watching the trailer and developing your own fan theories:
