It sounds absurd – “What? NOT camp out in front of Best Buy?!” – but yes, avoid it. Physical stores do advertise boldly about how their sales are going to be groundbreaking but with the amount of people rushing and the fact that unless you really are camped out in front of a store, you will not get any great deals and will probably end up spending money unnecessarily, convincing yourself that it’s a sale. The much smarter solution is to wait for it from your own home. Many stores post the same sales online to make sure their online customers get holiday deals too and that is how you, too, can get great deals. It is also time saving, saves you from over spending, and prevents you from the risk of getting crushed in a mass of people.

Ask Yourself, “Do I REALLY Need That?”

People spend way too much in such sales thinking that it’s actually beneficial since its cheap but in reality, it is not beneficial and you just bought something that you will probably never use. For example, you see a great deal on a juice blended and say, “Hey! I already have one but who knows when it might break down…better buy this cheap now.” No, it doesn’t work like that – the “cheap” amount you spent is a waste, no need to buy an extra if you already have one.
