For those of us that are old enough to remember, we know that many of the styles that we once wore are coming back to haunt us. These are the styles we wore when we were kids, when we were in high school, or even in college. They are the styles that we thought were long gone – we threw away things that will now be considered “vintage.”
But they are making a comeback. The 90s have been gone long enough that there are certain things that have gone out of style and are now coming back into style again.
Here are some of the top 90s trends that are returning:
Fanny Packs
One of the most useful styles that has come back around is the fanny pack. These are the bags that you either wear around your waist (near your fanny, if you will) or across your chest, depending on the style you want to wear.
Fanny packs come in different colors and even different styles, so you can get one that you like. This doesn’t mean you want to pack it full of a huge camera and sunblock – then you will just look like a tourist.
Deconstructed Jeans
If you were to look at a photograph, one of the best ways to determine the year around which it was taken is by looking at the jeans. Jeans can easily tell you a lot about a fashion era. The trend lately has been moving away from the skinny jean that so many of us wear, but rather getting a bit looser.
Deconstructed loose jeans are back in style again – and there are so many different options to choose from. Those looking to be the most fashion forward will go back to those 90s colors and washes. However, you may want to stick with some of the darker washes.
Combat Boots
While combat boots have always been in style for a certain subset of the population, they are coming back into style for many of us now. Soon, you will see more people wearing combat boots than you have in years.
It is helpful because these shoes are comfortbale, easy to find, and can be worn in different styles. Make sure that you give yourself time to break in your shoes – they can get uncomfortable the first time you wear them.
Scrunchies
One of the best ways to pull your hair back has always been by wearing a scrunchy. They don’t get tangled like smaller bands and you can match them to your outfit.
Scrunchies are back – and we are thankful for it.
Are you here for these 90s trends? Or do you wish they would have stayed away?
